It can take me hours to code something, and design something for them... and they don't even make me so much as a cup of tea in return!! I hope you find somebody good to work with! The bare-faced cheek of some people. Working for shares is always an extremely risky business and not one I'd suggest you take up (which, obviously, you haven't). Saying that though, you could look at Alec Guiness for inspiration, as he turned down his fee for playing Obi-Wan in Star Wars, for a percentage of the royalties. The force was with him that day.
